MOURNE Young Farmers is back!
After a busy summer programme, its winter schedule is about to begin again with the first meeting back due to take place in Annalong community centre on September 8.
The club has been busy organising fun outings and meetings for the year ahead with farm tours and visits to businesses in the agriculture and food sector planned, as well as many competitions.
During the past programme Mourne Young Farmers’ Club took part in many competitions, including floristry, young hostess and tug of war. Mourne YFC also organised a pub quiz in May and a car treasure hunt in August to raise funds for the club, as well as helping out at Bartleys Barn Dance in aid of Autism NI. Congratulations to the Bartley family for raising an amazing total of £3,205.
Mourne YFC also plans on raising money for charity during the upcoming programme, starting with a street collection on October 1. Message the club’s Facebook for more information about joining.
