Mulligans run attracts 400 entries

THE annual Mulligans Tractor and Truck Run in Draperstown just gets bigger and bigger, with around 400 entries, including 250 tractors, for this year’s event, held in aid of Friends of the Cancer Centre and Search Team North West.

All those tractors and trucks were shoehorned into Ballinascreen Gaelic Athletic Club before hitting the road, and there were plenty of spectators on route as they made their way through Draperstown, Tobermore, Maghera, Knockloughrim, Castledawson, Magherafelt, Desertmartin and back to Draperstown.

Due to the current circumstances, there was no barbeque or disco this year, although there was live music from Paul Kelly and Patricia Maguire.

Meanwhile, Tracey’s chip van was making sure nobody was going hungry, while there were a few other stalls to buy goodies from.

The organisers would like to sincerely thank all those who helped in any way to make the event a resounding success.
