Some of the UK’s top agricultural photographers have donated stunning im-
ages of the British country-side to create a fundraising calendar for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI).
Supported by the NFU Mutual Charitable Trust, the ‘Farming in Focus’ calendar for 2019 will raise money to help farming people of all ages in financial need.
Rural insurer NFU Mutual is urging members of the farming community to add the 2019 calendar to their Christmas shopping list this year, to support those in the sector who are struggling financially.
The 12 professional photographers who contributed images to the cal-
endar spend hours from dawn to
dusk in the nation’s fields and farm-yards, capturing the beauty of the countryside through the seasons.
This year’s cover image, by Cornish photographer Anthony Mosley, features a Springer Spaniel.
The other photographers who donated images are Kevin Milner, John Eveson, Wayne Hutchinson, Gary Naylor. Adrian Legge, Tim Scrivener, Marcello Garbagnoli, Kath Birkinshaw, Jonathan Page, Ruth Dowling and Glyn Evans.
The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) provided £2 million in grants to more than 1,200 farming families in 2017.
Lindsay Sinclair, NFU Mutual Chief Executive, said: “Every photograph in the 2019 calendar is a stunning image evoking the spirit of our beautiful countryside, making it an ideal gift for Christmas.
“RABI provides an essential lifeline to farmers facing financial hardship and NFU Mutual’s Charitable Trust is pleased to once again sponsor the calendar.”
Alicia Chivers, RABI CEO, said: “We’re grateful for the support of the NFU Mutual Charitable Trust and the photographers.
“It’s been a difficult year for many in farming, but we remain committed to supporting people through the tough times and walking with them on their journeys.”
