Newry Hunt looks forward to a busy few weeks

NEWRY Hunt is looking forward to holding Hunt hacks and a go as you please over the coming weeks.

The first of these will be this Sunday, October 11, with a Hunt hack from Tullyherron Chapel, Tullyherron Road, Mountnorris at 2pm. Cost is £10 per rider, with views stretching from Dundalk bay to Lough Neagh.

On Sunday, October 25, a Hunt hack will be held by kind permission of Clandeboye Estate. This hack will take approx two and a half hours around the tranquil woods to suit everyone of all abilities. Meeting at 12.30pm, parking is at the Sawmill, BT23 4UJ on the Crawfordsburn Road, Newtownards. There will be optional jumping. Cost is £10 per rider.

Saturday, October 31 will see a cross country go as you please being held at 57 Greenan Road, Newry, BT34 2PZ between 10am and 4pm. There will be a variety of fences – both natural and man-made. This is a great place for some schooling, for both you and the horse! Cost is £20 per horse and all the jumps you can jump!

Please follow all government guidance at each event; keep a distance of 2m apart, do not share equipment, wear a face mask around your neck in case of emergency and contact tracing will be in place.
