Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NI Chamber) is inviting member businesses working in or with the agri-food sector to an online event on Tuesday, April 27, at 10am.
Part of NI Chamber’s Sector Club with Barclays series, it will discuss the opportunities and barriers to growing an agri-food business in Northern Ireland, overcoming challenges presented by Brexit and Covid-19 and what the future looks like for the sector and those businesses operating within it.
Attendees will hear from Trevor Lockhart, CEO Fane Valley Group, who will share his experience from across the Fane Valley Group, which includes White’s Speedicook, Fane Valley Stores, Linden Foods and Duncrue Food.
James Hague, Director, Food and Drink Manufacturing Sector at Barclays Bank, will provide an update on the sector, covering key issues, including carbon emissions, sustainability, nutrition and plant based alternatives, as well as the ongoing challenges presented by the pandemic and the impact of new trading arrangements on agri-food companies.
This event is an excellent opportunity to peer learn and is aimed at managers within agri food companies, as well as the sector’s supply chain and customer base.
