FRESH from his big screen success in Paddington 2, Paddington Bear is making an exclusive appearance at Glenarm Castle this spring and you and your family could be enjoying marmalade sandwiches with him on Sunday, May 6.
Paddington’s visit will be the highlight of Bloomfest, a newly developed garden show for all the family at Glenarm Castle which started out as a long established tulip festival and a firm favourite in the horticultural calendar. Bloomfest will run from Friday 5th until Monday, May 7.
There will be a rare opportunity to tour Glenarm Castle on Bank Holiday Monday (May 7) from 11.30am to 4.30pm, and throughout the May Day weekend visitors to Glenarm Castle will be treated to a unique display of thousands of tulips and spring flowers.
All weekend professional gardeners will be on hand in the Walled Garden to share expert gardening advice; there will be an exquisite range of local food and drink; an array of craft stalls and exhibitions; live music and children’s entertainment.
Adrian Morrow, Managing Director at Glenarm Castle, said: “This year our annual tulip festival has bloomed into Bloomfest. A weekend of gardening themed family fun for those who enjoy a great day out. Whether you’re a gardening enthusiast who wants to explore our beautifully planted tulips, tour the castle and indulge in its history or treat your children to meet Paddington, there is something for everyone this May Day bank holiday weekend at Bloomfest.”
