MID Antrim Horse Show took place at Ballee Playing Fields, Ballymena on Saturday, June 18. The weather was kind, dry and warm with a cooling breeze, ground conditions were perfect.
Registered jumping kicked off the day in Ring 1 shortly after 9am. There were good entries across all classes, culminating in a thrilling 1.35m Grand Prix. An appreciative audience gathered to watch Jonathan Smyth win this class and also be placed second and third. Huge congratulations to Jonathan – what an achievement!
Unregistered jumping in Ring 2 saw some budding stars begin their show jumping careers, from five-year-old Lucy Hammond on her pony ‘Muffin’ and others in the Junior Jumping to the always competitive Rosemary Moffett on her wonderful pony ‘Moe’, showing everybody how to jump the perfect double clear.
Thanks to Raymond Jess, assisted by Will Brown, for building such inviting and educational courses in both rings.
Mid Antrim Horse Show would like to thank all their sponsors, old and new, for their continuing support.
