ON Saturday, July 11, a silage working day was held near Loughbrickland in County Down.

n Ashley Pedan is seen here driving Ken Cooke’s County Super 4 complete with a Kidd silage harvester and NC silage trailer. This tractor is fitted with an industrial engine that puts out 60hp at the pto shaft. :

Mark Stewart hosted the working day where classic Muir-Hill, County and Ford tractors were used to cut second cut silage. A selection of New Holland precision chop harvesters were seen in action along with a Kidd double chop.

It was wonderful to see an event like this take place after the months of lockdown. Social distancing was observed and everyone enjoyed the day using these classic machines.
