The Morning Star in Belfast is dishing up a treat for customers this January with top-quality, prize-winning beef and lamb available on the menu.
Following the 2021 Royal Ulster Premier Beef & Lamb Championships held at Eikon Exhibition Centre, Balmoral Park, Lisburn, the Belfast bar and restaurant recently purchased the 2021 Ulster Housewife’s Champion as well as other prize-winning livestock on the night.
Prime cuts from the show are being prepared by the restaurant’s in-house butcher and they will be offered on the menu this month with a special Championships night taking place this Saturday (January 29).
The Pottinger’s Entry based establishment has had a long-standing tradition of purchasing award-winning meat having previously purchased the 2019 Ulster Housewife’s Champion and the 2018 Supreme Champion.
Peita McAlister, from the Morning Star, commented: “We were delighted to be able to attend the Royal Ulster Premier Beef & Lamb Championships in 2021 show after missing the previous year.
“It is a real highlight of the year and a chance to support our local farmers.
“The animals on show were of outstanding quality and we can’t wait to showcase both our beef and lamb purchases on the menu for our customers and for our Champions night in January.”
