Prize winning beef will be on the menu at Belfast’s Morning Star
CELEBRATION: Peita McAlister from the Morning Star and RUAS Chief Executive, Alan Crowe celebrate the Restaurant’s recent purchase of award winning beef at the Premier Beef & Lamb Championships.

CUSTOMERS visiting the Morning Star, Belfast, will be in for a treat with top quality, prize winning beef available on the menu following the recent Royal Ulster Premier Beef & Lamb Championships.

At this year’s championships, held at Eikon Exhibition Centre, Balmoral Park, Lisburn, the Morning Star purchased the 2018 Supreme Champion for £4,400. Committed to sourcing top quality local produce, it also purchased the Champion Limousin, Reserve Champion British Blue and a pair of prize-winning lambs at the show and sale. All will be prepared by the restaurant’s in-house butcher and offered on the menu.

The Belfast bar and restaurant has a long-standing tradition of purchasing award winning meat annually at what was formerly the Allams Christmas Show and Sale and prize cards from over the years are proudly displayed on the entrance to the restaurant.
