International Dairy Feder-ation (IDF) World Dairy Summit 2022, which will take place in India’s New Delhi-NCR from September 12-15, will emphasis the role agriculture plays in promoting women.
Dairy stakeholders from all over the world will be attending the event, which is considered to be one of the most prestigious in the dairy sector.

Caroline Emond, Director Gen-
eral of IDF, said: “World Dairy Summit will be a great opportunity for dairy farmers, leaders, experts, scientists, pro-
fessionals. journalists and acad-emics to learn, connect and get inspired.
“India’s success story will be shared with the world through the IDF World Dairy Summit where we can see how dairy is an engine of development and women empowerment in India.”
Shri Meenesh Shah, Chair-man of the National Dairy Development Board and the Member Secretary of the Indian National Committee of IDF, said the dairy sector was fundamental to boosting the rural economy of India.
“IDF World Dairy Summit 2022 is significant to the stakeholders in India. The developing countries may witness the uniqueness of Indian small holder dairying system that has made India the world’s largest milk producing nation,” he added.
The IDF World Dairy Summit brings together approximately 1,500 participants from all over the world, including CEOs and employees of dairy processing companies, dairy farmers, sup-pliers to the dairy industry, academicians and government representatives.
The summit, which has some 2,500 sq m of exhibition space, will draw attention to the smallholder milk production system of India and raise awareness.
It will also provide a forum for industry experts to share knowledge and ideas on how the sector can contribute to nourishing the world with safe and sustainable dairying.
Ms Emond concluded: “The IDF World Dairy Summit 2022 is a window to the world, a place to see the latest trends in dairy and to be seen.
“We invite all interested parties across the globe to participate in the IDF World Dairy Summit 2022.”
