Quality stallions at Drumadarragh Stud

DRUMADARRAGH Stud is a small, inclusive yard in Co. Antrim that strives to offer high quality stallions at affordable prices.

Their newest resident, ‘Kingdom’, is a ‘Quidam de Revel’ sired 17.2hh Selle Francais. His dam, ‘Divett’, is a proven brood mare of top class show jumpers, including ‘Kingdom’s’ three full blood brothers – one is show jumping at 1.60m and two are competing at 1.40m. His dam sire, ‘Miguet du Manoir’, is also the grand dam sire of well known stallion, ‘Pacino’. There is also some nice Thoroughbred blood back in his pedigree – ‘Furioso’ and ‘Rantzau’.

Due to concentrating on his career, he currently has only two riding age progeny: ‘Kingdom Come’, which is show jumping at 1.50m level at eight years old and ‘Queendom’, which competed to 1.30m level as a six-year-old before being sold on.

‘Kingdom’ himself is a stunning stallion with an excellent temperament and proved extremely popular in his first stud season last year.

Holsteiner stallion ‘Singulaer della Caccia’ is now in his third year with Drumadarragh Stud and is proving to produce tall, quality athletic stock with super temperaments. His eldest progeny are now two years old here in Ireland. This scopey, powerful jumper is a true athlete and has previously competed up to the age of six, including at Lanaken, though sadly his promising career was cut short by a shoulder injury. He is proving to add blood, height and athleticism to Irish mares.

Drumadarragh Stud’s third stallion, ‘Bernhard’, a son of the famous (recently deceased) ‘Heartbreaker’, is a beautiful blood-correct model, which is producing quality correct youngsters with brilliant temperaments. His progeny are now making an appearance in both show jumping and eventing fields and are showing fantastic ability and potential.

All three stallions are available through both fresh AI semen and also live cover. Full green books are available for progeny of all three stallions. All stud fees are fully refundable if the mare is not in foal after three attempts.

Drumadarragh Stud welcomes anyone to come and view the stallions in person. Simply call Gary Jackson on 07813 967877.
