DESPITE the difficulties imposed by Covid 19 restrictions, three RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) Groups in Northern Ireland have competed in the Virtual Regional Qualifiers, with a total of eight riders succeeding in qualifying in one or more disciplines. They are Naomi Elkin from Omagh Group (Dressage); Katie Fraser and Josie Henly from Newtownards Group (Countryside Challenge). Eva Millar, Ella Gillespie, Steven Yetman, Marianne Larkin and James Christie comprised the Coleraine Team, who tackled all three disciplines – Dressage, Show Jumping and Countryside Challenge – with some excellent scores being achieved and everyone qualified in one or more events. Well done to all involved, especially the coaches, volunteers and judges
All at RDA NI wish them every success at the National Championships, which are being held virtually at the end of September, where they will be competing against riders from all over the UK. No doubt they will represent Northern Ireland very creditably and, as always, RDA NI will be very proud of their achievements.
