Saintfield ride and show organiser recognised

JOAN Cunningham, organiser of Saintfield Christmas Charity Ride and Saintfield Horse Show, received a Special Recognition Award for excellent services to the equestrian world and the community of Saintfield at the Equine Awards NI on Saturday night.

Joan said: “I am absolutely thrilled at receiving this award. Most of the Horse Show and Saintfield Christmas Charity Santa team accompanied me to the Ball and we all thoroughly enjoyed it and had a brilliant night. Neither the Show nor the Santa Ride could happen without the entire team behind it. I was deeply saddened that my brother Michael Andrews couldn’t be there, as he was a massive part of both events, but sadly he passed away at Easter this year.”
