WITH Lockdown gradually lifting, North Down Branch of the Pony Club are getting their members together in new ways.
Having had a fun-packed Minis rally, it was the turn of the Seniors! This is a new initiative, designed to allow the older members to get together for lessons – and chat! The ethos is to work on individuals’ requests, within a group ride – a little like a drop in centre!
The first session met last Thursday night – with 12 riders out, there were two sessions of dressage and two sessions of show jumping – all taught by Penny Sangster. All members enjoyed getting out again, with great instruction.
They plan to meet on a monthly basis, so if you missed this one, please look out for details on the website or contact Sandra Vollands (contact details on branches.pcuk.org/northdown/)
