IT was another successful day at Ardnacashel’s show jumping training show, which was held on Saturday, May 1, with many wishing to start off their Bank Holiday weekend with a jump!
Plenty of little ones had fun around the cross-poles class, which is always a delight to see! Isabella Graham on ‘Grandpas Dream’ and Niamh Lyons on ‘Mr Blue Eyes’ were both on form in the 60cm class, each securing clear rounds.
Emily Hawe and ‘Noah’ rode an impressive clear round in the 90cm class, clocking the quickest time of the day.
Classes range from cross-poles to 1.20m, so there is plenty of opportunity for horse and rider to practise before the competitive season commences. There are plenty more opportunities at Ardnacashel, with weekly training on Wednesday evenings and almost every Saturday from 10am, over a wonderfully flowing course designed by Colm Quinn, National level course designer. Practise will be leading up to the Spring Showing Festival, which is taking place on May 15 and 16. Entries may be placed on www.ardnacashelequestrian.co.uk/ enter-online
