ONCE again this year at Balmoral a Special Schools Dexter Young Handlers class took place. This was organised by the Dexter Cattle Society Northern Ireland Group and sponsored by Dunbia.

Five special schools took part with a team of three from each school going into the ring. One student led a Dexter cow with two in support to do the grooming.

The judge, Naomi Gregg, saw the cows being walked and then interviewed each group in turn.

Every school put in an excellent performance. The first place went to Roddensvale School and the team leader Kyle Steele was presented with a cup by Mrs Dobson of Dunbia. She then gave the members of every team a medal to commemorate the occasion and congratulated everyone on a very smooth performance.
