ON Saturday, March 6, a small number of classic tractor enth-usiasts had the chance to plough stubble ground near Newtownards in County Down.
Ken Cooke brought out three tractors and ploughs on the day, including two Countys and one Muir-Hill. John and Stephen Mageean brought their Ford TW 15 Series 11 and plough.
The weather was superb on a dry spring day on the Ards Peninsula.
Social distancing was observed and everyone enjoyed the day’s ploughing with these classic tractors. It was good to enjoy the fresh air and the views of Strangford Lough and Scrabo Tower.
The ground ploughed on the day will soon be sown out in spring barley.
