Staycations at Larchfield Estate

Nestled in the heart of the County Down Countryside, Larchfield Estate’s self-catering cottages and glamping experience provide the perfect location for a relaxing staycation, away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life.

Whether it be a cosy escape, a family holiday, or a get-together to celebrate a special occasion, the rustic properties offer a unique and memorable experience with beautiful gardens to enjoy the outdoors during your stay.

With a history dating back to the 1600s, Larchfield Estate opened as a private events venue in 2007, with its first property, ‘Rose Cottage,’ opening for overnight stays in 2012.

Since then it has continued to lovingly restore several additional stone cottages, alongside renovating ‘Myrtle,’ a 1950s Swiss army truck-come glamping experience (complete with underfloor heating, chandelier and sauna), and most recently its newest addition, ‘No 23’.

Bringing the overall capacity to 37 for overnight stays, this makes Larchfield Estate the ideal destination to join your loved ones for a much-needed get-together to celebrate those all-important occasions sadly missed over the past year.

Guests have the option of booking accommodation on a nightly basis, or for groups of 20+.

You may opt for the Special Celebrations package, which includes the hire of the newest indoor events and experience space, ‘The Old Piggery’ – suitable for up to 40 guests, perfect if you plan to combine your staycation with that landmark birthday or anniversary!

You are free to provide your own refreshments, and we can recommend numerous wonderful local caterers or private chefs for your evening dining, or why not a cookery masterclass to test your own culinary skills!

Overnight stays at Larchfield Estate start at £120 for a double/twin en-suite room, and £250 for cottage or glamping experiences.

Cottage and glamping stays also include a complimentary breakfast hamper, filled with a range of local artisan produce – perfect to enjoy before heading off to explore the local areas of Lisburn, Hillsborough or Belfast (or a morning hot-tub if you are staying in No. 23!).
