To say a special thank you for the welcome they give to visitors, the local community has been invited to begin the Christmas festivities at the National Trust’s first ever Christmas Community Morning on Saturday, December 7, at the Giant’s Causeway Visitor Centre, from 9am-11am.
The doors will open, completely free of charge, to welcome the local community and visitors alike to soak up the merry atmosphere and enjoy all that the Visitor Experience has to offer.
Visitors are invited to enjoy the exhibition, take an award-winning guided tour, or just come along to browse the selection of locally produced crafts and unique Christmas gifts in the retail shop, with a special 20 per cent discount on all items during this open morning.
Pick up some Christmas presents or just enjoy some complimentary mince pies and shortbread along with tea and coffee.
Max Bryant, General Manager at the Giant’s Causeway, said: “We are delighted to invite the local community and visitors along to enjoy a Christmas Community Morning this December.
“We really wanted to say a big thank you to them and express our appreciation for their support throughout the entire year.
“I look forward to seeing some familiar faces at the opening morning to enjoy a mince pie and a catch up before the Christmas holidays begin.
“A Saturday morning is a perfect opportunity for a winter walk with all the family, so I would encourage you to wrap up warm and venture to the stones while you’re here.
“We hope everyone can come and sample the Visitor Experience and enjoy all that Northern Ireland’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site has to offer, including the newly launched Boat House gallery and workshop space at Innisfree, which is now open to the public as well.”
