COLLEGE of Agriculture and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) student Claire McAnearney flew to America this summer to study at Michigan State University (MSU).
Claire, who is from Banbridge, is studying for an Honours Degree in Food Business Management at Loughry Campus, Cookstown. The Degree courses offered by CAFRE in Food Technology, Food Innovation & Nutrition and Food Business Management are awarded by Ulster University.
Students on these Ulster University Food Degree programmes at Loughry Campus are given the opportunity to study for a semester in America.
Claire said: “To all the folks back home, I would like to thank Loughry Campus and CAFRE for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime. I really love studying here in America.”
CAFRE students who get this opportunity for international travel and study are awarded a bursary to help cover the costs of accommodation and flights
to Michigan State University (MSU).
