AFTER a very successful online AGM, the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster went on to have a virtual vote for all Sub-Committees. The results were as follows:
Richard Beattie, Finvoy YFC, was voted as Chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee. The main repsonsibilities of the committee are:
n Ensuring that the voice of young people is heard in rural and agricultural policy-making
n Making available to members information on agricultural, rural and community issues, and developing contacts and opportunities for member participation
n Developing and providing agricultural training opportunities and visits for YFC members
Adam Alexander, Kilrea YFC, was voted as Chairman of the Programme and Development committee. The main responsibilities of the committee are:
n Ensuring that YFCU’s Competitions Programme caters for all members
n Programme offers a variety of personal development and learning opportunities for YFCU members
n Ensuring that the learning and personal development opportunities of each competition are clearly identified
n* Ensuring that the technical content of all competitions activity is accurate and up-to- date
Finally, Hannah Kirkpatrick, Kilraughts YFC, was voted as Chairwoman of the Travel Committee.
