Suffolk rams in demand at North Antrim & East Londonderry sale

The recent North Antrim & East Londonderry Suffolk sheep club sales in Kilrea and Armoy markets continued with a strong demand for Suffolk rams in the area.

Show champion at Kilrea was a ram lamb from RC & JC Watson, Rasharkin, realising £450. Topping the trade in Kilrea was G Douglas, Limavady, with a very strong shearling at £600. Other top sellers from J McKay at £500, £420. F Smyth £440.

The Armoy champion, a ram lamb, was presented by H & D McCaughan, Ballyrock, and sold for £660. Armoy trade peaked at £680 for a shearling from B McVicker, Bushmills.
