Bright sunshine attracted a large gathering of spectators to the annual sheep show
and dog trials held by
Glenelly Sheep Dog Society at Plumbridge, County Tyrone, last week.
“The event was well supported by competitors, exhibitors and the general public,” said Mr R J Duncan, the society’s secretary.
“Entries were particularly good in the three lamb classes in the sheep show,” he added.
The show’s top award, the Castledamph Cup for the best Blackface sheep in the show, was won by a mountain grazed ewe lamb from the farm of Mr P J Harkin of Loughashe.
