THE first of four weeks of show jumping at Lusk Equestrian Centre proved to be quite competitive in all classes, with Lusk liveries dominating the 70cm class – taking all six prizes. The 40cm or Polo Mint class did not go against the clock, but all other classes did with some very speedy rounds!
The Polo Mint stakes for beginners, some on lead rein and some on their own, showed the talent of tomorrow’s riders and the two double clears went to Callie Patterson and Georgia Shannon, who were both taking part in their first show.
In the 70cm class, Martha McMurray was an outstanding winner on the best time of the day at 54.88 seconds.
Show jumping continues next week with entries to Sarah Whiteside on 07840 117132.
Don’t forget the Derby on June 19 – hopefully on the grass arena.
