Timothy Smith established SVS Equine in 2020. Timothy is a graduate of both CAFRE (College of Agriculture Food and Rural Enterprise) and Queen’s University, Belfast. Prior to establishing SVS Equine, he worked in both the veterinary and human pharmaceutical industries.
He is married to Dr. Esther Skelly-Smith MRCVS, who is practice principal of the award winning ‘Shanaghan Veterinary Services’, which is Ireland’s first integrated equine veterinary referral service and Timothy regularly assists in the running of the practice.
Timothy has significant equine experience through the co-management of ‘Shanaghan Horses’, which specialises in the breeding of Irish Sport Horses and Irish Draughts. Along with this experience and his scientific background, he recognised the need for a platform, which brought together both researched and scientifically based equine solutions.
