THE catalogue for the Tattersalls Ireland July Store Sale is now available to view online. After a successful introduction of the inaugural July Store Sale in 2021, Tattersalls Ireland are delighted that the July Store Sale will now take place on its intended dates of Wednesday, July 13 and Thursday, July 14. The sale starts each day at 10.00am. The select Part I features 297 quality stores, while 333 stores have been catalogued for Part II. This sale is the final opportunity to purchase store horses in Tattersalls Ireland this year.
The July Store Sale provided point-to-point handlers with some profitable pinhooks this year after winning their four-year-old maidens. Colin Motherway’s ‘Encanto Bruno’ was purchased for €20,000 before selling for £210,000 to John McConnell Racing after winning his point to point impressively at Ballynoe in March. Milestone Stables ‘I Will Be Baie’ was purchased for €43,000 and resold for £150,000 to Harold Kirk and Willie Mullins, Ballyboy Stables turned €17,000 into £75,000 with Tyrella winner ‘Jet of Dreams’, Harley Dunnes ‘Doyen For Money’ sold for £75,000 after purchasing him for €11,000, while Knockacool Stables purchased ‘Catuaba’ for €7,200 before selling to Highflyer Bloodstock and Charlie Longsdon for £52,000.
A strong sire profile features three-year-old stores by ‘Court Cave’, ‘Doyen’, ‘Getaway’, ‘Jukebox Jury’, ‘Kayf Tara’, ‘Milan’, ‘Shirocco’, ‘Walk In The Park’, ‘Westerner’, ‘Yeats’ and more.
All horses catalogued for the July Store Sale are eligible for the €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial Sales Bumper 2023. This year’s winner ‘Icare Desbois’ was sold as a store last August for €28,000 by Liss House to Harold Kirk and Willie Mullins.
