TRI Equestrian, based at The Meadows Equestrian Centre, Lurgan, had much to celebrate on Saturday. Not only was The Meadows hosting the second round of the incredibly popular Inter-Schools’ show jumping league, which is sponsored by TRI Equestrian, but their newly renovated store was being relaunched too!
Customers who haven’t visited the store recently will be amazed by the transformation – the shop has been extended, the counter, office and changing rooms have been moved, there are new merchandising ideas to show off the product range, as well as the addition of new products – both equine and competition wear!
TRI Equestrian and TRM supplements was founded in 1989, primarily to sell and distribute equine remedies and supplements, but by 1991, TRI had opened its first retail store in the Curragh, Co. Kildare. They offer the full suite of products for equines – including feed, bedding, healthcare, supplements, clothing, rugs, footwear and every conceivable product associated within the equestrian market! As the retail business grew, they moved to much larger premises in 2008.
Then, in 2015, TRI opened its second retail operation – this time in Northern Ireland at the well-known Meadows Equestrian Centre in Lurgan. The Meadows is ideally situated just beside the M1 motorway, so is easily accessible from all parts of the country. This has contributed to the centre being one of the most popular equestrian competition venues in Northern Ireland – and an ideal location for TRI Equestrian.
Whether attending a show, schooling or making a special trip to the store, customers enjoy the opportunity to buy their horse feeds and equine necessities, as well as have a browse around for a treat for themselves!
Since opening, the business has grown from strength to strength and, this year, TRI and The Meadows Equestrian Centre signed a new deal to ensure a long-term commitment to The Meadows and the Northern Ireland market. TRI Equestrian have made a significant investment in the Lurgan store this year, with the extension and refurbishment of the premises. They intend to further build on this development, with plans for an on-site cafe and a new fully covered store area.
CUTTING THE RIBBON
To celebrate the re-launch of the newly renovated Lurgan store, the TRI management team travelled up from Kildare and joined with Lurgan store manager Gareth McCombe, staff and invited guests, Minister for Agriculture Edwin Poots and local MPs Carla Lockhart and Dolores Kelly to cut the ribbon and officially open the new and improved premises.
There were plenty of customers in attendance too, as the TRI-sponsored Inter-schools’ show jumping attracted a large crowd to The Meadows and they were keen to see the store improvements!
The newly refurbished store now boasts the very highest of standards of display and merchandising in Ireland and UK and offers some of the most exclusive brands in the equestrian market, such as Kingsland and Ariat, along with excellent value product propositions and strives to serve every need of the equestrian customer.
TRI have recently re-branded TRI Equestrian and the TURFMASTERS brand and are about to re-launch the TESORO VITA brand, which offer a unique range of competition wear and outdoor wear, targeted at the female audience – with the brand tag of ‘Affordable Luxury’. Turfmasters offers a range of quality footwear, including country boots, riding boots and jodhpur boots at great value prices.
Never before has the future of equestrian looked so bright in Northern Ireland and TRI Equestrian will be there to serve this market for many years to come!
