Turning the Scottish sods to good effect

THE Northern Ireland contingent distinguished itself across the Irish Sea in Scotland at the Wigtownshire and District Ploughing match.

Nigel Gamble, Ballynure, winner of the Classic Class, was the Reserve Champion of the Field, while David Grattan, Banbridge, topped the Vintage Senior Section and was the overall vintage champion.

Marc Gamble, son of Nigel, also from Ballynure, came third in the vintage lift.

Completing the Northern Ireland contingent was Frankie Davidson, Raloo Village, Larne, who took part in the Vintage Lift Class.
