Ginato Italian Gin has announced its partnership with Italian chef and TV personality Gino D’Acampo. Ginato is distributed by Belfast-based Drinksology.
Now available in the UK, Ginato is the true essence of Italy.
The gin is produced using Pinot Grigio grapes selected from the wine-growing regions of Friuli in the north of the country.
The juniper is sourced from the rolling hills of Tuscany, and the citrus is picked from the sunny climate of southern Italy. The bottle itself also has a quintessentially Italian design.
The Ginato range includes its original Classico Pinot Grigio Gin, which recently won gold at the IWSC awards – a blend of grape and grain spirit, combined with Sicilian lemons to create a clean, crisp and citrus-forward gin.
The other three expressions include Ginato Melograno (Pomegranate), Ginato Clementino (Clementine orange), and Ginato Pompelmo (Pink grapefruit). All gins have bright and balanced flavours with an ABV of 43 per cent.
As partner and Maestro del Gusto (Master of Flavour) for Ginato, Gino will be creating delicious Italian food recipes and pairing them with Ginato cocktails, as well as working with the team in the development of new Ginato Gin variants and releases over the coming years.
A well-known TV personality and chef, Gino was born and raised in Naples where he inherited his grandfather’s love and passion for cooking.
After developing his culinary skills in Italy, he moved to London. With his cheeky wit and exceptional talent in the kitchen, he now presents and participates in many UK prime-time TV shows, including This Morning, and Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road trip, with viewing figures of more than five million. Gino also owns and operates several restaurants across England.
The Ginato range was developed and is distributed in the UK and internationally by Kirker Greer Spirits.
Steven Pattison, chief executive of Drinksology Kirker Greer, said: “The Ginato range encapsulates a true Italian spirit and without a doubt Gino D’Acampo is the perfect fit for the brand.
“Having the calibre of Gino D’Acampo join us at Ginato, with his expert knowledge of Italian flavour and ingredients, it is a really exciting time for the development of the brand.
“We can’t wait to share his great enthusiasm for Ginato Gin and his love of everything Italian with consumers across the UK in the coming months and years ahead.’’
Gino adds: “My homeland has always shaped not only the way I cook but also what I eat and drink.
“Italians have a passion for great quality produce, and this is everything that Ginato Gin embodies.
“It is important for me to work with brands that are authentic and complement my style of food.
“Ginato Gin is an interesting concept, especially with the addition of the Pinot Grigio grape.
“This innovation as well as the superb taste is what attracted me to working with the brand.”
Ginato Italian Gin has recently launched in over 22 countries, including the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, The Netherlands, South Africa and Singapore.
