As I write this I am sure you are all aware that all these dates and planning are subject to any change in Covid regulations.
Ballymena recently held its Annual General Meeting in Bally-mena Rugby Club. Four new members were elected onto the committee, Jonny Blaney, Roy Davidson, James Fullerton and Mark Graham.
It is great to see new faces willing to take up positions on the committee to help where required in the general running of the shows.
The show dates are as follows: First show Saturday, November 6; second show Saturday, December 12; the Championship Show, Saturday, January 15.
These shows will be held as usual in the Slemish Poultry Hall, Ballymena Showgrounds. Any queries please contact club Secretary Dr Dermot Gardiner.
The Dromore Poultry Assoc-iation has also met and has published its choice of dates as follows: Domestic Waterfowl Show, Saturday, October 23; First Hard Feather Show, Saturday, October 30; First Soft Feather Show, Saturday, November 13; Second Hard Feather Show, Saturday, November 27; Second Soft Feather Show, Saturday, January 8.
It is hoped to hold these shows at the premises of James Hammond and family, Loughbrickland, and that schedules will be available soon.
A spokesperson from Armagh Poultry Club stated that the dates are yet to be confirmed, so we will keep you posted.
East Antrim poultry club dates are also yet to be confirmed.
If you have any queries about these four clubs please check Facebook pages or contact any of us and we will try to point you in the right direction.
We are looking forward to getting back out to see all the poultry enthusiasts and all the quality birds reared this year.
