THE first round of the SVS Equine Working Hunter League at Gransha Equestrian Centre, Bangor, kicked off with a cool breeze and bright sunshine on Saturday. The morning soon warmed up and so did the competition. The riders enjoyed the flowing course and there were not too many falling poles. Kirsty Jackson judged and the scores were very close in many of the classes.
Tim McKee put forward a Working Hunter jump for a free draw prize at the final and the five lucky riders to win this month’s places in the final draw were Ellie Miskelly, Phoebe Beaumont, Ben Cousins, Charlotte Glenn and Emmalee Turley.
Next Saturday’s competition is the Gransha Derby. This course will wind round both the Derby and the TopSpec arenas, with a mix of show jumps, Working Hunter fences and cross-country obstacles. Entries are via the Gransha Equestrian App and will close at noon on Friday.
