MOSSVALE Riding Club is looking forward to hosting a ‘Horse Powered Take Off’ Working Hunter competition at Mossvale Equestrian Centre, Dromara, this Sunday, June 20, with pony classes from 9.30am, followed by horse classes in the afternoon.

‘Horse Powered Take Off’ is hoping to raise £40,000 to cover the Air Ambulance NI for a week’s work. A portion of the show entry fees and all proceeds from the raffle, which has prizes from Botanica and Baileys Horse Feed, will be donated to this worthy cause.

Pony classes will start with Cradle Stakes (cross-poles) and go up to 153cm Working Hunter Pony (jumps between 90cm and 1.05m), while horse classes run from 60cm up to 1m. There will be prizes from Botanica and Baileys.

All classes should be pre-entered via Elle Carey on Facebook or email: lisacarey15@hotmail.com Cost is £15 per entry or £12 for Mossvale members. Payment should be made through Paypal: MVlessonsandcomps@outlook.com with rider name, horse name and classes to enter.

Mossvale is also running their popular show jumping competitions again on Thursday and Friday evenings at Mossvale Equestrian Centre. On Thursdays, jumping starts at 7pm with classes from 60cm upwards; on Fridays, jumping also starts at 7pm, with classes from cross-poles upwards.
